What this site is

SearchScope Reviews organises reviews into structured records. Each record says who or what was reviewed, who wrote the review, where it was first published, when, on what rating scale, and what the reviewer said. Records are grouped by the entity they describe, by the platform they came from, and by the topics they raise.

The point of the archive is provenance. A quote with no source behind it is an assertion. A record that names the platform, the date and the URL, and says when that URL was last checked, can be argued with.

What the archive currently holds

Every record held so far is five stars on its own platform's scale. That is what the two source platforms contain, not a filter applied here: no record has been left out, and the archive does not remove unfavourable records. Trustpilot's own TrustScore for the same profile is 4.2, because a TrustScore weights recency and volume rather than averaging the reviews. No combined score is published on this site at all.

Read that for what it is. A five star run on a business's own listings is the ordinary shape of a small services business that asks happy clients for reviews, and it is weaker evidence than the same run on a platform the business does not control. The methodology sets out what was and was not checked.

What this site is not

  • It is not an independent review platform, and it does not present itself as one.
  • It does not collect reviews from the public through a form or a widget.
  • It does not publish an overall score, a star average or a ranking of anything.
  • It does not remove a record because the reviewed entity asks for it to go.
  • It does not republish the full text of a review it has no permission to reproduce.

Who operates it

Dorian Menard is an SEO consultant based in Victoria Park, Western Australia and the founder of Search Scope, which he started in 2021. The archive holds records about him and about Search Scope, published by him. That is a conflict of interest, it is stated on every page it affects, and it is the reason critical records are kept.

Where Search Scope is described elsewhere

This archive is one of several sites Search Scope publishes, and it is the narrowest: it holds review records and nothing else. The full account of the consultancy, its services and its pricing is on the Search Scope website, which is the entity home every record here points back to.

Two other Search Scope sites cover ground this one does not. All three are operated by the same person, which is the point of saying so here rather than leaving it to be worked out.

How to read a record

Read the source status and the last checked date before the quote. A record marked source unavailable or source removed holds an extract captured when the record was collected, and the original can no longer be opened to check it. A record marked direct submission was never checked by any third party at all.
